This is a painting about an illusion falling to the ground. When I moved to the tropics of Costa Rica, I anticipated a natural idyll. Harmony among people and amazing love. But it turned out that a third of the year there are tropical downpours. And this life-giving moisture nourishes this turbulent nature decisively, creating a microclimate.
